BLOCK TIME:   With all the distractions ready to rob your time and energy, you must create a daily outline, work the plan, and finish your day strong

BEING PRESENT:  As recruiters, we are looked up to for advice, so we to make make sure we bring energy, focus, and enthusiasm to every single connection. (Be in the now)

YOUR UNIQUE VOICE:   "Old skool" recruiters will attempt to that recruiting is an exact science, which a agree with, BUT you have to bring your unique voice (ART) to each and every conversation, objection, etc. (Phone scripts are for telemarketers)

BE A HEARTFELT LEADER:  Have confidence in your accomplishments, and your ability to influence/persuade people requires confidence. (NOT COCKY)  Be an effective LEADER!

OUTSOURCE:  Your activity should be 100% revenue generating activity.  Do yourself a favor and hire a virtual assistant.  (It will pay itself off)

So, here goes the poem...

In nature there are bees and there are flowers and they like each other. Bees need the nectar from flowers for honey and flowers need the bees to pollinate them so they can grow.

In the nature of business, we are bees. We go from flower to flower trying to get what we need.

We buzz around with great excitement, expending lots of energy and making lots of noise.

Buzz. Buzz. We go.

But there are only so many flowers.

And the buzzing bees can only go so far.

The bees try hard anyway because they are bees. They go as far as they can and still frequent their favorite flowers often.

Sometimes there are other bees to compete with. They zip and they zap around them trying to get to the same flowers. Buzz. Buzz.

Soon, though, bees get very very tired always buzzing and looking for new flowers – the zipping and zapping, too, is wearing on their wings.

There are just SO many other bees and only so much nectar to go around…soon all the buzzing doesn’t sound so exciting anymore.

In all the buzzing the flower stays put and laughs at the busy bees.

The flower is smart. It makes such good nectar that it draws the bees in and doesn’t have to go anywhere. The flower stays grounded and uses all its resources to keep producing newer, sweeter nectars.

The bees can’t resist and come in swarms. The flower gets pollinated and grows entire fields.

the flower smiles and thinks, “What can I create to bring more bees to me?”

He states, "Ask one of these recruiters what they think.  If it didn't work, I don't think they'd take the time to do it." BINGO!!!  The answer to the question is simple... NO, I would not blog if it did not help me get found, convert traffic into customers, and ultimately revenue into my company.  (Recruiting fees, books sales, etc.)

As of yesterday, and a globally recognized journalist, with a recruiting/staffing publication reached out to me to do a webinar on Google+ Recruiting (G+ Recruiting).  Your darned right, I will be doing the webinar in May with an audience of hundreds, if not thousands of recruiters baby!!!  How did she find me the VLOG?   You got it… a GOOGLE search.

Recruiters Are Going To Die, Get Over Yourself [Inbound Recruiter]

  
  
  
  
  

In this VLOG (Video Blog), Brian, your Inbound Recruiter Trainer, discusses a HOT TOPIC on blogosphere over the last few weeks... Agency vs. Corporate Recruiter. (Link to recent post)

 

After reading another "blog fight", I felt like I needed to cut a video with some viewpoints.  There are some really UNHAPPY RECRUITERS on both sides of the fence, which is very sad, and I pray for those who feel like they need to "defend" their territory.  (I have been there/not a good place to be)

I LOVE all recruiters, because we are in the trenches everyday, doing our best to solve problems.  I personally choose the AGENT side (Business Owner) because the lifestyle it provides my family. (NO COMMUTES, NO POLITICS, NO BS, NO $$ LIMITS, etc.)

Bottom Line:  Your going to DIE (return home) one day, so rather than try to prove why your "Recruiting Philosophies" are better, why not serve your customers or hiring managers instead?

So, I wanted to share this with you...

A LIFE LIVED THAT MATTERS

For each of us, it will one day come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten will be passed to someone else.
Your fame, your wealth and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or owed.
Your grudges, frustrations and jealousy will finally disappear.
So to your hopes, ambitions, plans and to do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It will not matter where you came from, or what side of the tracks you lived.
At the end it won't matter if you are beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.
So what will matter?
How will the value of your days be measured?
What will matter is not what you bought but what you built.
Not what you got but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned but what you taught.
What will matter is that every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that empowered enriched or encouraged others to emulate your example.
What will matter is not your competence but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew but how many will feel a lasting loss when you are gone.
What will matter is not your memories but the memories that live in those that learned to love from you.
A life lived that matters is not of circumstance, but of choice.
